Privacy Policy

Crowta ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Virinchi Software Pvt Ltd, an Indian private limited company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit crowta.com or use our service, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

When you sign up, you provide:

• Email address — for account creation and transactional messages.
• WhatsApp number — our primary support and delivery channel.
• Call number (optional) — only when you indicate it differs from your WhatsApp number.
• Plan selection and any optional details you share (business name, industry, preferred domain).
• Website content — anything you share by chat (text, voice notes, images, documents) to help us build and update your site.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

• Site analytics — pages visited, referrer, country-level IP, browser/device class. We use this only to improve the marketing site.
• Payment metadata — handled by Razorpay; we receive a payment ID and last-4 of card, never full card numbers.

2. How we use your information

• To build, host, and update your website.
• To deliver support over WhatsApp / Telegram / Slack.
• To send transactional emails (receipts, renewal reminders, service notices).
• To improve our product and service quality.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers.

3. Where your data is stored

Customer websites and personal data are hosted on AWS — one of the world's best server networks, in their India region. Operational metadata may be processed by our service providers (Razorpay for payments, WhatsApp/Meta for messaging) under their own privacy terms.

4. AI processing

Crowta builds and updates websites by chat. Most of that work runs on local AI models on our own servers in India — your conversation is processed by open-source models that Crowta operates directly, with no data ever sent to a third-party AI vendor.

The exception is the final build step: when Crowta's engineers are ready to generate or update your website's code, the agreed build brief and your intake answers are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to produce the actual code. Anthropic processes this on Crowta's behalf as a sub-processor under a signed agreement; Anthropic does not train its models on your data, and we never send personally-identifiable contact details (your phone, customers' phone numbers, etc.) in this step.

Data is encrypted in transit. We do not use your data for any purpose other than running your account and improving the site we build for you. To opt out of the Anthropic step, email [email protected] — note that this disables the chat-driven update flow, since the product depends on it.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies and localStorage entries — primarily to remember your theme and font-pairing preferences on this site. No third-party advertising cookies are set.

6. Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Export — receive your website content and source code.
• Correct — ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
• Delete — request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention obligations).

7. Refund — 7-day money-back

Full refund within 7 days of first deployment, no questions asked. We deduct only ₹1,500 — the actual domain registration cost we paid on your behalf. After 7 days, refunds are issued only where we have failed to deliver service.

8. Children

Our service is intended for businesses, not for minors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes are notified via WhatsApp and email to active customers. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
